  • 8:00AM - Official dive time begins. No entering the water until 8:00.
  • 2:00PM – Official dive time ends.  All divers must be out of the water before 2:00.
  • 3:00PM – All divers must be check in with tournament representative no later than 3:00PM.  Tournament representative will be at the Dam Site lake Park Boat Ramp.  All divers must be present at tournament weigh-in no later than 3:30PM.
  • 3:30PM – Weigh in at Beaver Dam Dive Shop
  • Awards to follow after weigh in has been completed.



Tournament Rules & Regulations

  • Each diver must dive with a partner.  You must remain within 300’ of your partner at all times.
  • This is an individual event.  Please keep your fish separate.
  • This event is open to freediving and scuba.
  • NO CHUMMING
  • No fish may be shot in the event area within 48 hours of the event (aside from striper if competing in the big striper shootout)
  • Please do not dispose of fish in the lake.
  • The use of GPS, fish finders, and cell phones is legal for the event and scouting.  
  • Divers from opposing teams may dive the same region if done in a safe manner.  The lake is big, please give other divers their space.
  • Fish that are judged more than a day old or rotting will not be counted.  Divers with any old/rotting fish will be disqualified.

Arkansas Spearfishing Regulations

  1. It is unlawful to spearfish:
    • Without displaying a standard diver's flag (no less than 12 inches wide and 12 inches long, red and white diagonal stripe) from the boat or other flotation device at least 12 inches above the surface of the water; or
  • More than 300 feet from the diver's flag.
    1. It is unlawful for spearfishermen to clean fish while on the body of water where the fish were taken.

 

  1. It is unlawful to take game fish with spearguns other than as specified below:
    • June 15-March 15 from sunrise to sunset in the following waters: Beaver
    • The taking of black bass is prohibited in the following waters: Beaver
    • The taking of flathead catfish is prohibited March 15-July 15;
    • No more than half of the daily game fish limit (Codes 25.0125.02) may be taken by speargun, or the lesser whole number nearest half when the limit is an odd number; and
    • The possession of spearguns in public waters other than waters specified in this section is prohibited.



Limits and Scoring

In order to keep things as simple as possible, and to keep the scoring system fair, only the following limits of fish will be allowed at weigh-in.  It is up to you to make sure you follow the state/lake fishing limits.

All fish will be scored at 1 point per fish and 1 point per pound.  

 

Game Fish
Striper/Wiper - 1 fish limit
Walleye - 2 fish limit
Catfish (No Flatheads) - 2 fish limit

Rough Fish
Carp - 3 fish limit
Drum - 3 fish limit

Please keep game fish on ice.  You are responsible for disposal of your fish.
